The Family behind the Business
Sam Anning is the Owner of Dulgu Bamaal Cultural Enterprise. Margaret, Sam's wife along with their children assist in the operations of the business. The Family are of Idinji ancestral heritage with ties to Idinji groups of the Atherton Tablelands, Gordonvale and Babinda areas through their direct biological lineage. Both Sam and Margaret are Idinji and also have biological connection to other Rainforest Tribes of Far North Queensland. Margaret has ancestral heritage of the Kaanju, Kuku Yalanji, Gungandji, Girramay peoples with Sam's heritage including Ngadjon and Kuku Yalanji. Both Sam and Margaret are descendants of survivors from the Stolen Generations.
The name of the business is Idinji language meaning Rainforest People Cultural Enterprise.
